Public administrations, like any other entity, use plastic for many different applications: construction, equipment, vehicles, hospitality services, cleaning products, etc. Following the overall approach of SCP/RAC activities on single-use plastics and particularly in the food and beverage sector, in-house practices are relevant within these activities, as well as public procurement.
This consultancy is aiming at supporting the implementation in Egypt of the Small Scale Funding Agreement (SSFA) signed between UN Environment/Global Programme of Action (UNEP/GPA) and SCP/RAC, an agreement to cooperate on activities related to marine litter prevention in Egypt.
An encouraging agreement had just been signed between SCP/RAC and the Regional Administration of Protected Areas in Vlora (RAPA) on the development of an action plan and the implementation of a measure to tackle marine litter sources in Karaburun-Sazan National Marine Park.
